It's been three weeks since the events of
Ultimatum as
Nick Fury stands in front the still under reconstruction Triskelion. He has come to meet with
Hawkeye,
who mentions that Fury will not get his position as Director of SHIELD back, because of his involvement in the
Ultimate Power Incident. Hawkeye tells Fury that current SHIELD director
Carol Danvers wants Fury to lead a Black Ops team to capture the rogue
Captain America. Hawkeye tells Fury that Cap found out about the
Red Skull.
A day earlier in Chicago, Hawkeye and Captain America are intercepting a pair of
A.I.M. helicopters after a daring daytime raid of the Baxter Building.
Tony Stark is meant to be helping them,
but has gone to a fetish club to drink and claims that his Reichian therapist, whom he'd been seeing after his unwilling involvement in
Wolverine's death, has told him to give in to all his vices. Captain America
meets up with the Red Skull on one of the choppers, but is easily bested by the Skull. The Red Skull then reveals that he is Captain America's son, before throwing him from the helicopter. Hawkeye saves Cap by leaping from the other chopper and
opening Cap's parachute. AIM and the Red Skull then escape.
